South Jersey Man Stabbed In Chest, Suspect Arrested: Police A 25-year-old man from Bridgeton has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left another man in critical condition, authorities said. Shortly after midnight on Friday, Sept. 15, Bridgeton police were dispatched to a unit block on Walnut Street for a stabbing.  Police found the victim, a 54-year-old Bridgeton resident, with a stab wound to his chest. The victim was airlifted to Cooper Medical Center for treatment and was listed in critical but stable condition, police said. Cumberland County Man Critical After Assault: Police A 25-year-old man has been arrested for an assault that left the victim in critical condition in Cumberland County, authorities said. On Saturday, Aug. 12 at 11:36 p.m., Bridgeton police officers were dispatched to Myrtle Street for an assault. Police found an unconscious 35-year-old Bridgeton man being treated by Bridgeton Fire/EMS.  A short time later ER Staff contacted police and advised that the victim was in critical condition with a serious head injury.
