Burglars Using Garage Door Openers Break Into Central Jersey Homes: Police Police in Central Jersey are reporting a steep rise in break-ins in which the burglars are using garage door openers stolen from unlocked vehicles to get inside homes. Monroe Township police said there was a recent invasion of a northside neighborhood in which multiple suspects ransacked several cars and homes at once. The suspects typically came into the neighborhoods in stolen vehicles, Monroe police said.
