: Man Barricaded In Hotel At NJ/NY Border Surrenders
A SWAT standoff at a hotel on the New Jersey/New York border ended peacefully when negotiators talked a barricaded Passaic County man from his room. Local police cleared the floor after the North Haledon man, 53, made what were characterized as alarming phone calls from his room at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel in Mahwah late Thursday, April 14. HIM? Fugitive Sought In Jersey Shore Shooting
Authorities are searching for an Ocean County man wanted in a shooting. Donald Rutter, 51, of Tuckerton is wanted for attempted murder and weapons charges, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Rutter is a suspect in a shooting that involved bodily injury on Tuesday night in Little Egg Harbor Township, Billhimer said. “Rutter has not yet been apprehended (and) is currently a fugitive from justice,'' Billhimer said on Wednesday.
