Passenger Critically Hurt In Route 1 West Windsor Crash A 39-year-old woman from Pennington was critically injured in a crash on Route 1 in West Windsor, authorities said. On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at about 2:20 p.m., West Windsor police responded to a single-car crash on Route 1 South just south of Carnegie Center Blvd. The vehicle that crashed was reported to have struck a pole and was in the roadway, West Windsor police said. A preliminary investigation found that the Honda was traveling south when it veered off of the roadway and struck a telephone pole, police said. Cemetery Worker Rescued From Grave In Central Jersey A cemetery worker who fell into a grave was rescued in Central Jersey, authorities said. At 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, South Brunswick Police received a report of a man falling into a grave at the Holy Cross Cemetery, 840 Route 535.  South Brunswick EMS, Monmouth Junction Fire Department, and Monroe Fire Department responded.  The emergency agencies found a 47-year-old male down approximately 6 feet in an open grave site.
