Loss Of Beloved K9 Neiko Mourned By South Jersey Police A beloved K9 officer with the Egg Harbor Township Police Department has died at the age of 11, authorities said. "It is with heavy heart that we report the passing of Egg Harbor Township Police K9 Neiko," the department announced on Facebook on Friday, July 21. Neiko was a Belgian Shepherd that started his service with the Township in May 2014, after graduating from the John “Sonny” Burke K9 Patrol Academy.  "It was not in the line of duty. South Jersey Police Officers Visit Young Hit-Run Survivor With K-9 Echo The 10-year-old boy who survived a hit-and-run crash on Friday in Camden County got a surprise visit this week. Tucker met the Waterford Police Department's newest member, K-9 Echo. The police dog went on his first assignment. His job was to check on Tucker.  "The two of them bonded quickly.Job well done Echo!!
