Over a dozen dogs were removed from homes in Philadelphia by authorities who say they were victims of an illicit ear-and-tail cropping scheme. In total, 14 dogs were seized from two separate properties related to a single investigation, said the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in a statement Tuesday, Feb. 21. Pennsylvania SPCA Arrests Man On Accusations He Tortured Horses
A Lancaster County man was arrested for torturing a horse on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, officials said. Mark S. Fisher, 37 of Quarryville, was arrested following an investigation conducted by the PSPCA and the Lancaster District Attorney’s office into an Aug. 30 anonymous tip of animal cruelty. The tip, stating a horse was limping, and possibly had a dislocated leg at a property in Quarryville, was left on a hotline phone to PSPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement team.
