$8.5M Settlement Reached In Pepper Spray Death Of Philadelphia Inmate The family of an inmate who died after pepper spray was used on him at a state prison in 2019 will receive an $8.5 million settlement -- the largest settlement for a state prison death in Pennsylvania. Ex-Con Trucker Who Sexually Assaulted NJ Woman After PA Crash Gets 20 Years A 41-year-old North Carolina truck driver who sexually assaulted a New Jersey woman cleaning out her car moments after a Pennsylvania crash was sentenced to up 20 years in prison, authorities said. Demetrice Herron approached the woman getting items out of her disabled car in a remote lot behind a garage after the crash on Oct. 19, 2018, the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office said. After making small talk, Herron pushed the woman into the wrecked car and sexually assaulted her, authorities said.
