'Marathon' Storm Threatens NJ, PA With Freezing Rain A "marathon" storm is slowly moving into New Jersey and Pennsylvania, threatening some areas with freezing rain and dense fog. "The storm is a marathon, not a sprint," AccuWeather Senior On-Air Meteorologist Justin Povick said of the 48-hour storm that began Wednesday in the central part of the US. Save for parts of Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties, New Jersey will see mostly rain Thursday night into the late morning or early afternoon Friday, the National Weather Service says.
