South Jersey Dad Shot Dead At PA Truck Stop Survived By Wife, 1-Year-Old Baby
Support is on the rise for the family of a 40-year-old New Jersey truck driver shot dead allegedly by a Florida man last week at a Pennsylvania truck stop. James Alexander Hilton, 40, of Southampton, NJ, was shot and killed at an I-78 truck stop in Upper Bern Township, early Friday morning, March 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. DA: Pennsylvania Nursing Home Worker Kicked Patient, 91, In Head
A Lehigh County nursing home employee was charged with assaulting a 91-year-old combative patient. Fellowship Manor employee Julian Bailey, 48, of Whitehall, kicked the patient twice in the head on June 17, the Lehigh County district attorney's office said. The alleged incident was reported by a witness. The patient apparently had an injury on the side of his head consistent with the allegations, authorities said. The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Lehigh County during Thursday's storm -- making that the eighth across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. A Pennsylvania man charged with killing his mother and sister -- both Newark natives -- entered a guilty plea this week, authorities announced. Zakiiy Carson, 37, on Tuesday pleaded guilty but mentally ill to two counts of murder in the third degree in the 2018 shooting deaths of Latricia Ezell and Ashley Campfield, according to Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin.
