Remains Of Missing Bergen County Man Recovered Off Jersey Shore A days-long search ended tragically when the Coast Guard recovered the body of a missing Glen Rock man in the waters off the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office was conducting an autopsy to help determine how 26-year-old Kiariff Alston ended up two miles or so off Island Beach State Park in Barnegat Light, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said Friday. Seen HIM? Glen Rock Man, 26, Reported Missing Glen Rock police turned to the public for help finding a missing 26-year-old borough resident. Kiariff Alston was last seen around 3 a.m. Sunday at a gas station in Paterson, family members said. The former Paterson resident was driving a black 2020 Toyota Corolla with temporary NJ registration W770831, according to borough police. Alston's mother said he has a mental illness and has tended to wander but often returned soon after. Police asked that anyone who sees Alston or know where to find him is asked to contact Glen Rock police: (201) 652-3800.
