Handguns, Drugs Seized In South Jersey Traffic Stop A traffic stop resulted in the recovery of two handguns, ammunition and drugs in South Jersey, authorities said. On Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11:36 p.m, Pleasantville Police Officer Michael Mabkhouti located a stolen vehicle unoccupied on Lafayette Circle.  While investigating the stolen vehicle, another vehicle was believed to be in the area to recover the stolen car. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign.  The driver, Darnell Lewis, 23, of Egg Harbor Township, reportedly gave police consent to search the vehicle. Tragic TOP 10: Fentanyl Deaths In NY, NJ, PA, MD Among Highest In Nation, Study Finds New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland were among the 10 states with the most fentanyl deaths last year, a recent study found. All four were also among the states with the most deaths caused by the synthetic opioid since 2015, the non-profit Families Against Fentanyl found.
