'Fully Engulfed:' Christmas Eve Fire Destroys South Jersey Home A Christmas Eve fire ravaged an Atlantic County home. The Great Creek Road home was fully engulfed in flames when police arrived to the scene at 12 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 24, Galloway Township police said. All of the residents as well as pets had safely evacuated as numerous fire departments arrived, police said. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours on Great Creek Road between Sylvan Ave and Pitney Road.  No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by Detective Fenil Gandhi. No Apparent Charges For 18-Year-Old Driver Who Fatally Struck Pedestrian In Atlantic County No apparent charges have been filed against an 18-year-old driver who fatally struck a man crossing the street in Galloway Sunday, Nov. 19, police said. Myoung-Chun Jang was crossing West Moss Mill Road around 6:35 p.m. near Breman Avenue when he was struck by the driver in a 2004 Toyota Tundra, Galloway police said. Myoung-Chun was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division where he was pronounced dead West Moss Mill Road, between Bremen Avenue and Frankfurt Avenue, was closed for approximately two hours while the crash was investigated.
