Pennsylvania Motorcyclist Dies In Route 72 Crash With Pickup Truck
A Pennsylvania motorcyclist died in a crash on Route 72 in Burlington County, NJ Saturday, Sept. 16, authorities said. Eric Tomko, 47, of Bensalem, was heading east on Route 72 when he struck a westbound Chevrolet Silverado attempting a lefthand turn onto County Route 532 around 8:50 p.m. in Woodland Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. Tomko was thrown from his bike, which entered the path of a Ford Escape traveling behind the Chevy, police said. Tomko and the bike both struck the Ford's front passenger side. A motorcyclist was killed on the Black Horse Pike in Camden County, authorities said. The motorcycle collision with a Ford Escape occurred at 1:33 p.m. on Friday, June 2, according to Gloucester Township police. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene. No names had been released. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said. NJ Troopers, SUV Driver Injured In South Jersey Crash
Two New Jersey State Police troopers and the driver of a Ford Escape were hurt in a collision in Atlantic County, authorities said. A State police vehicle was struck by the Escape at about 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13. The crash occurred on the Black Horse Pike (Route 322 eastbound) in Hamilton near milepost 40.3, said Lr. Lawrence Peele, a State Police spokesman. The troopers were taken by ambulance to an area hospital and the driver of the Escape was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, Peele said. Ford is recalling hundreds of thousands of SUVs that could potentially have a faulty fuel injector that could lead to fuel spills or potentially leak vapors onto hot engines, posing a fire hazard. The motor company announced a recall of nearly 650,000 Ford Bronco Sport and Escape SUVs that were produced between 2020 and 2023 with 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engines, according to officials.
