The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the northbound side of the highway was be closed and detoured approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange beginning at 10 p.m. April 1. The highway was reduced to a single lane for several hours while Conrail bridge engineers conducted their inspection to establish an emergency repair plan. Person Struck By Freight Train In Central Jersey (Developing) A person was struck by a freight train in Central Jersey, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash was reported at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16. The incident occurred near 75 Summerhill Road in Spotswood, initial reports said. Conrail was not immediately available for comment.
