Dishawn Bellamy, 32, and a 17-year-old boy were in a Ford Explorer that sped past two officers headed toward the sound of gunfire in the area of Atkins Avenue and Boston Way in separate cars shortly before 7:30 p.m. on June 5, 2022. Philip Gross was taken into custody with help from local police after he was spotted riding an electric scooter on Atkins Avenue in Asbury Park Tuesday, Oct. 18, the US Marshals' New York / New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force said. Malik J. Carey, 21, and Zyier M. Small, 20, both of Neptune Township, each pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree attempted murder and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in separate court hearings this week, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey. Authorities: Neptune Township Man, 29, Arrested; Second Shooter At Large A 29-year-old man from Neptune Township has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Asbury Park, authorities said. Ryan Taylor was charged with attempted murder, armed burglary and various weapons charges in the May shooting of Tykee Mitchell, 26, of Asbury Park, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said.
