East Windsor Crash Shuts Down NJ Turnpike For Emergency Guardrail Repair

A crash in East Windsor shut down the NJ Turnpike for emergency guardrail repairs Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash was reported on the outer roadway southbound entrance ramp at interchange 8 to Route 33 in East Windsor around 12:15 p.m., according to 511NJ:

All lanes remained closed and detoured as emergency crews were repairing a damaged guardrail after the crash, 511NJ said.

Initial and unconfirmed reports said the crash involved a tractor-trailer driver who struck the guardrail and suffered a broken arm.

Authorities did not immediately return DailyVoice’s request for additional details.
