Keith Gunther, 42, of Wanaque, and a sergeant with the East Hanover Police Department, was behind the wheel of the Ford F-150 that was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it struck a 2005 Toyota Camry, headed north, head-on just before 11 p.m. in Riverdale on Tuesday, Oct. 15, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said. Victim Killed In Head-On Route 23 Crash Had Moved To NJ Seeking Better Life: Campaign Authorities have released the identity of the person killed in a crash on Route 23 earlier this week. Hamid Shabuddin, 55, of Paterson was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota Camry that collided head-on with a 2021 Ford F-150 at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the northbound lanes in Riverdale, a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office said.  Shabbudin was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the Camry was taken to a hospital. Alejandro Almazan, 33, of Pompton Lakes, had the female victim jog with him to a private area within Independence Field in Riverdale on Aug. 9, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.
