A firefighter was taken to a local hospital and two civilians were tended to at the scene of an overnight blaze that destroyed a popular Garfield restaurant and severely damaged the apartments above it. A passerby alerted authorities to the fire that broke on the first floor of DP's Pub and Seafood Grill on River Drive shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday, April 12, responders said. Garfield Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Underage Teen
An unemployed 32-year-old Garfield man sexually assaulted an underage teen, investigators charged. Jarrell M. Taver Hudson is charged with a single offense against the child, who Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said was between 13 and 14 at the time.
