A 22-year-old Upper Saddle River man has been arrested in connection with a robbery last spring in Allendale. Francisco B. Verdugo drove Jahan A. Hendley to and from the scene on Monday, March 25, where Hendley robbed a victim at gunpoint, stealing marijuana, a bottle of liquor, and about $900 in cash from inside his apartment, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. While fleeing, Hendley pointed his gun at another victim who was unrelated to the incident but happened to be in the area of the apartment complex. Woman Whose 5-Year-Old Killed 4-Year-Old Convicted In Separate NJ Murder Case
A 30-year-old Newark woman whose 5-year-old son shot and killed his 4-year-old brother, has been convicted in the 2022 murder of a man, authorities said. Itiyanah Spruill was convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the fatal shooting of Lance Sally, Jr. in Nov. 2022, following a two-week trial, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II said. Spruill lured Sally to the location where he was shot by an unidentified individual and drove the vehicle used in the homicide, Stephens said. West Orange Man Surrenders In Morris County Shooting
A West Orange man who shot a victim in the leg during a Morris County domestic incident surrendered to law enforcement, authorities announced Tuesday. Michael Mecca, 39, was in an argument with the victim in Roxbury the night of May 31 when he left and returned with a .40 caliber Highpoint handgun, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.
