Passenger, 24, Killed In Crash Off NJ Highway: Prosecutor
A 24-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in West Orange on Tuesday, Oct. 29, authorities said. First responders arrived at Pleasant Valley Way and Belle Terre Road near the Route 280 ramp at 11:59 p.m. and saw multiple injuries at the scene, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and Joe Fagan, the public information officer for the city of West Orange said. Floribel Hiciano was sitting in the rear of one of the two cars at the time of the crash, authorities said. She was taken to University Hospital where she died, authorities said. Citizen Helps Police Nab West Orange Bank Robber
It didn't take long to catch a man who robbed a bank in West Orange Tuesday morning, authorities said. A local transportation company driver who'd dropped him off at a local hotel called police after seeing all the commotion at the TD Bank branch on Pleasant Valley Way shortly after 9 a.m., WOPD spokesman Joe Fagan said. W. Orange Police Officer OK After Being Thrown 20 Feet In Crash
A West Orange police officer suffered only minor injuries Saturday after being thrown from his motorcycle in a traffic accident, a spokesman for the township said. Officer Chris Jacksic, who was on duty, was riding his police motorcycle around 7:30 a.m. towards Verona to assist in the Valerie Fund 5K race. While Jacksic was driving in the left lane on Pleasant Valley Way, a vehicle traveling in front of him in the right lane made an illegal U-turn, the spokesman said.
