NJ Daycare Worker Charged In Baby Assault
A 38-year-old daycare teacher in Morris County was recently charged with assaulting a 16-month old baby in March, authorities said. Christina Susco, a Budd Lake resident and teacher at Mount Olive Child Care and Learning Center assaulted the baby on Monday, March 25, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. Susco was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault, Carroll said alongside Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Mount Olive Township Police Chief Michael Spitzer. Catalytic Converter Thefts On The Rise In Morris County, Police Say
Police have issued an alert regarding the increasing number of catalytic converter thefts being reported in the area throughout the last several weeks. The theft increase “reflects a national and statewide trend,” according to Mount Olive Township Police. Catalytic converters are often targeted due to their high potential resale values and precious metals including platinum, palladium, and rhodium, police said. A Hackettstown man was under the influence when he crashed into a utility pole and parked his damaged pickup truck in the middle of the road Saturday night, authorities said. Scott E. Conner II, 22, was found in the driver’s seat of an orange Chevy pickup truck with a missing a tire and a damaged frame in the middle of Drakestown Road in Budd Lake shortly after 7:15 p.m., Mount Olive Township Police said. A Hackettstown woman tried stomping on a glass pipe after being caught with heroin, crack cocaine and illegal prescription pills in a traffic stop, authorities said. Jessica L. McMickle, 39 was driving on Route 46 in Budd Lake when she was pulled over for a series of violations just before 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Mount Olive Township police said. McMickle, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, was asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests. Authorities: Sussex DWI Driver Struck Pedestrian In Lowe’s Parking Lot
A motorist from Sussex County was intoxicated when he struck a pedestrian in the parking lot of Lowe’s in Flanders, authorities said. Gregory Summers, 64, of Ogdensburg "showed obvious signs of impairment" when Officer Bill Galop responded to a car-pedestrian crash on Wednesday, Mount Olive Township police said. Summers was asked to take a series of field sobriety tests outside of the home improvement store in Morris County.
