Ridgewood Attorney Winograd Drops Out Of U.S. Soccer Presidential Race RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Michael Winograd dropped out of the U.S. Soccer presidential election after the second round after losing support. The organization's vice president, Carlos Cordeiro, won the election on the third ballot -- beating out Winograd and six other candidates including Hope Solo. In his campaign, Winograd expressed concerns with the current state of U.S. Soccer, "particularly as it relates to the progress on the field and increasingly fractured nature of its constituency," he said.
