What had been a peaceful protest that included police officers kneeling in solidarity in Trenton later erupted into more than 1,000 rioters rampaging through downtown, throwing bricks at officers, setting a police car on fire and looting businesses. Arrest Made In Downtown Newark Shooting A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal targeted shooting Tuesday morning that occurred in the heart of Newark's downtown, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday.  Terrence J. Wilson, 26, of Newark was gunned down just before 10 a.m. at 171 Market Street.  Jahid Nelson, 21, also of Newark, was arrested at the Garden State Motor Lodge in Union and charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons offenses.  The brazenness of the shooting shocked many in a city long known for high rates of violent crime, occurring as it did at Broad …
