Police Chase: Agencies Unite To Nab Six Suspected Morris County Car Thieves
Five juveniles and a man who tried stealing several cars out of Long Hill were arrested after leading nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies on a chase through local neighborhoods before dawn Thursday, authorities said. Police responding to an attempted break-in on Birchwood Drive found a stolen vehicle out of Jersey City around 4 a.m., Long Hill Police Lt. James Marczewski said. Meanwhile, another resident called police reporting five people running through her yard, the lieutenant said. Long Hill School Bus Driver Cited In Crash That Downed Power Lines, Briefly Trapped Students
A 62-year-old Long Hill school bus driver has been cited for a crash last month that caused live power lines to fall on the vehicle, trapping eight students inside before power was shut to the area. Sarah Scott-Farrar of Irvington is on suspension with the bus company and is not driving a route in Long Hill, according to District Superintendent Edwin Acevedo. No injuries were reported in the Jan. 28 crash, when Scott-Farrar lost control of the vehicle while attempting a left turn. The eight children made it to school safely.

Students Trapped Under Live Power Lines In Long Hill School Bus Crash
Eight students and one adult were helped off of a school bus that veered off the road and into a utility pole, toppling power lines around 8:30 a.m. Monday. The Millington and Gillette students and the driver were helped off the bus after power was cut by JCP&L about 10 minutes after the crash, resulting in area outages. NBCNewYork's live chopper footage shows power lines strewn across the top of the bus. Long Hill Public Schools announced a two-hour delay following the crash.
