Woman Struck, Seriously Injured By Car Crossing Hackensack Intersection A 74-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night, Oct. 26 in Hackensack, police said. The woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Hudson and Moonachie Road when she was struck around 9:45 p.m., Police Chief Michael Antista said. The female suffered serious bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators. The incident is under investigation.

Uninsured Driver Making Improper Turn Sends Motorcyclist To Hospital In Hackensack: PD A 67-year-old New York driver was cited for causing a motorcycle crash in Hackensack on Wednesday night, Sept. 11, police said. The New York man was behind the wheel of a Cadillac SUV when he left a left turn in front of a motorcycle around 9:20 p.m. at Lodi Street and Polifly Road, Hackensack Police Capt. Michael Antista said. The motorcyclist, 26, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the Cadillac driver was issued a summons for an improper turn and no insurance.
