19 Closes 3 Schools In Same Bergen County District
Three schools in one Bergen County district are closed due to COVID-19 cases. Ramapo Ridge Middle School, Mahwah High School and Joyce Kilmer had all switched to remote learning as of Thursday. Ramapo Ridge Middle School and Mahwah High School both switched to virtual learning Tuesday. A staff member tested positive at the middle school, while it was unclear if a student or staff member tested positive at the high school. Bourdain, Donovan Among North Jersey Residents Nominated For NJ Hall Of Fame
Chris Rock, Anthony Bourdain and Anne Donovan are among the many North Jersey natives nominated for the New Jersey Hall of Fame's 11th class. The organization announced its list of 50 nominees Friday. Inductees will be announced in January 2019. The five categories are Arts & Letters, Enterprise, Performing Arts, Public Service and Sports. Library Restrictions Cause Uproar Among Mahwah Parents
Several Mahwah public schools prohibit children from checking out library books whenever they want -- and parents are less than pleased. At the George Washington Elementary School, for example, the seemingly unprecedented rule mandates that children can only take out books every other week.
