Drivers Not Seriously Injured In Crash That Closed Garden State Parkway For Hours
Two drivers suffered minor injuries in a crash that closed the Garden State Parkway for hours, authorities said. A Nissan and Volkswagon collided in the northbound lanes just before 8 p.m. near mile post 168.1 in Hillsdale, right past Demarest Farms on Wednesday, Sept. 20, according to witnesses and New Jersey State Police. Another Drive-In Theater Opens In Bergen County
The Ramsey Theatre has reopened as a drive-in theater after nearly four months of being closed due to COVID-19. The new pop-up location is in the Smith School parking lot on Monroe Street, and opened last week with showings of "Jurassic Park." This week's showings of "Sing" will be Tuesday and Wednesday, and "Secret Life of Pets" Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $25 per car -- $10 per car load and $15 for parking. Two Drive-In Theaters Coming To Paramus
As malls throughout the state received approval to reopen their doors, Paramus officials have approved two plans for drive-in movie theaters, reports say. The first theater will be located in the parking lot of Westfield Garden State Plaza, which, ironically, was one of New Jersey’s last drive-in theaters before it was demolished and turned into one of the mall’s parking lots in the 1980s, NorthJersey reports. Will The Show Go On? Fate Of Demarest Farms Drive-In Movie Theater Uncertain
The fate of the drive-in theater promised at Demarest Farms next month is uncertain, as Hillsdale officials maintain the farm's owner did not take the proper steps in filing for approval of the theater. Farm owner Jason Degise planned the sold-out summer series in mid-May as a result of a COVID-19 pandemic, and under the assumption it was covered by the agricultural management plan (AMP) guidelines, he said. Drive-In Theaters Announce Bergen County Showtimes
Two new drive-in theaters are coming to Bergen County. Beginning June 10, Demarest Farms in Hillsdale will be showing movies every Wednesday through Saturday night. The last showing is Aug. 29.
