A trooper doing laser speed enforcement tried pulling over the Honda CRV near Exit 135 on the northbound Garden State Parkway around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, NJSP Major Brian Polite said, but the driver kept going. He was 25.  Born in Poland, Filip moved to Linden in 2005 before moving to Clark less than a year ago, where he owned and operated Stealth Pool Installations.  Filip enjoyed swimming, sailing, skiing and dancing, and worked as a lifeguard in Avenel in high school. He was a volunteer for many years  during the pilgrimage to Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and also volunteered with the Polish American festival.  A self-taught man in many respects, he …

Bomb-Making Materials Found At Clark Home, Authorities Say A Clark man is in custody after he called authorities to his home, where they found a cache of weapons and bomb-making materials, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday.  Robert J. Update: Woman, 71, Struck And Killed By Car In Clark The Clark Police Department was investigating Saturday after a 71-year-old woman was struck by a car and suffered serious injuries, a department spokeswoman said. The woman was struck near the ShopRite supermarket at Raritan Road and Central Avenue around 8:30 a.m. She was flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Newark.
