A driver was extricated by firefighters and hospitalized with serious injuries early Saturday after a large SUV slammed into a jewelry store in Ramsey's downtown business district. It was shortly before 7 a.m. May 13, when the Mercedes-Benz GLS smashed through the front of Apolo Jewelers, between Bici Restaurant and a Delta gas station at Main and Arch streets. An out-of-control SUV barreled clear through the garage of a private home during a collision with a sedan in Ridgewood on Wednesday. No injuries were reported in the chain-reaction crash, which sent the Acura MDX through the North Van Dien Street garage's side wall near Beverly Road around 3:45 p.m. Dec. 21. SUV Plows Through Front Of Route 17 Dunkin' Donuts
A driver was treated for glass in his head after his SUV plowed through the front of a Route 17 Dunkin' Donuts. No other injuries were reported in the crash on the southbound highway near Biggie's, just after Division Avenue, around 2 p.m. A building inspector was requested to determine the extent of structural damage. Large Pine Tree Collapses Onto Morris County Apartment Complex
Residents and emergency crews were lucky to escape injury after a large tree split and fell on an apartment complex in Morris County. The Budd Lake Fire Department responded to a local complex and confirmed a fallen pine tree during the afternoon on Monday, May 30, the department said. Crews immediately got to work removing the tree while performing a thorough inspection of the building to ensure that none of the residents were trapped inside. A driver told police he apparently blacked out before his sedan rammed into a Paramus home Thursday morning. UPDATE: Firefighters reported only minor injuries after a jitney collided with an SUV and slammed into a ground-floor apartment in Paterson overnight. A pickup truck plowed into a Hillsdale convenience store Sunday night.
