Proud Pigs Square Off Against Black Bear (Video) A brand-new video shows two pigs fighting a black bear that crawled into their pen in Connecticut. WTNH, the ABC-TV affiliate in New Haven, published the video on Friday, March 18, which was sent from the owner of the pigs in the Litchfield County town of New Milford. The Ring camera footage shows the pigs fighting and chasing away a black bear after the bear crawled into their pen. The owner, Kevin David, told the news outlet the pigs are doing well and he believes the bear is a cub. Watch the full video on the WTNH YouTube channel.

Bear Jumps On Roof, Hangs Around Wawa During Trek Through Hudson County A black bear was spotted in some unusual places this weekend in Hudson County. The animal was first reported near the Kearny Wawa around 4 p.m. Saturday, then at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison. Approximately 12 hours later, the bear was spotted on top of a business at Cleveland and Passaic avenues.  Police said the bear eventually climbed down and ran across the street to the Hampton Inn. Grin And Bear It: Cub Caught In New Milford Bergen County's great bear roundup moved east Saturday when a furry little forager was found in New Milford. Police called to Congress Street found the 6-month-old, 125-pound black bear in a nearby yard on East Woodland Road. NJ Fish and Wildlife tranquilized and tagged the little fella for release onto state land in Morris County.  The agency recently has bagged bears in Englewood, Teaneck, Mahwah, Northvale and Waldwick.
