Trauma Surgeon Shot In Attempted Carjacking Aided By Hopkins Colleagues
What they first thought was a twisted April Fools joke turned out to be a chilling reality for surgeons in the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Friday morning. One of their own surgeons had been shot in an attempted carjacking, and he needed their help. Officers found Madhu Subramanian, 38, suffering a gunshot wound in the 1200 block of East 36th Street in Northeast Baltimore just after 7 a.m., city police said. Members of the US Marshals Service arrested a Maryland man wanted in a Baltimore shooting in New Jersey, authorities said. Luel F. Mekonnen, 22, of Silver Spring, was located on Friday, March 18 at the Red Roof Inn in Westampton, NJ, a spokesman for the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said. Officers responded to a local hospital for reports that someone was brought there after being shot in the 1300 block of Colbury Road around 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, police said. A New Jersey man admitted that he sent racist texts to a Maryland woman threatening to hurt her and her family, federal authorities said. The cause of death has been released for former "16 & Pregnant" star Jordan Cashmyer, of Maryland. Urcioli, Sr., 78, of Park Ridge, conspired with an employee of a New York company to produce bogus invoices for more drums than his Tunnel, Barrel & Drum Co, Inc. had delivered to the company's facility in Harford County, MD, U.S. Attorney for Maryland Erek L. A recent stroke victim with limited ability to speak has been missing since he was released from prison and was expected to arrive in Washington DC, according to his attorney. Kevin Flythe, 52, was released from the FCI Gilmer prison in Glennville, WV on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, according to his family's attorney, Claire Madill. Flythe was resentenced to time-served on Jan. 25, because government officials conceded he was non-dangerous. A DoorDash driver in between jobs was shot and killed Sunday in Baltimore, leaving behind her husband and three kids. Cheryl McCormack's car broke down on White Avenue while she was making a food delivery and was approached by two men trying to rob her at 2:18 a.m., WBALTV reports.
