Investigators were making the third buy in a series from Jermaine R. “Black” Johnson, 27, outside the Houlihan’s in Ramsey on Monday night when he suddenly changed up the program, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

“After the undercover detective arrived at the prearranged location, Jermaine R. Johnson made contact with the detective and requested to meet at a different location,” Molinelli said.

As Johnson talked with the detective on his cellphone from an Exxon station up the road, investigators moved in.

The burly Johnson took off on foot but was caught moments later despite putting up a struggle, the prosecutor said.

Johnson, of Spring Valley, is being held on $100,000 bail at the Bergen County Jail.
