Trapped driver freed after Ramsey crash

ANOTHER CVP SCOOP: A station wagon collided with two other vehicles and then plowed into a column at a Ramsey strip mall, trapping a motorist who kept her foot on the accelerator, causing a huge amount of smoke from the burning tires.

The crash occurred around 1:30 this afternoon outside the Dress Barn at the Interstate Shopping Center off Route 17 and Franklin Turnpike.

Ramsey police, fire and EMS responded and removed the trapped driver of the station wagon.

Both she and the driver of another car sustained minor injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital.
