Octavio Hernandez-Vasquez
(MUGSHOT: Bergen Prosecutor)
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said Chief Bryan Gurney’s officers alerted his investigators after the girl confided in someone who works at the school she attends.
Hernandez-Vasquez, who is single and lives on North Central Avenue, was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted sexual assault and child endangerment after detectives from his Special Victims Unit determined that he “engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct” with the youngster, the prosecutor said.
A hearing is scheduled for May 22.
