Ramapo Reservation Hiker, 76, OK After Fainting Spell, Mahwah Police Say

MAHWAH, N.J. -- A 76-year-old hiker was hospitalized as a precaution Monday after passing out at Ramapo Reservation in Mahwah, authorities said.

The Yellow Trail victim regained consciousness, cancelling a call just before 3:30 p.m. for a rescue team, Police Chief James Batelli told Daily Voice.

Police assisted him to a police vehicle, then took him to the ambulance, the chief said.
