Mahwah Fire Co. 3 was joined by Co. 5 -- as well as a member from Co. 3 currently on leave from the military -- as members ran an obstacle course that included zigzagging through cones, flipping a large tire, climbing up and down a ladder, and unrolling and rolling hose.

"It showed the members that you are going to exert yourself in a fire with things happening around you and they need to take it easy and not suck your air down," the fire company noted in a Wednesday Facebook post. The exercise stressed the point "that they can't exert all their energy in the first few minutes and to keep an eye on their air."
