Jasmin Jeter, who was a passenger in the car stopped on Elmwood Terrace around 9:30 p.m., was charged with drug possession and destruction of evidence after officers “detected a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from her breath,” Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

“An ambulance and paramedic unit were notified and examined her,” the chief said. “She eventually refused medical treatment and was transported to police headquarters for processing.”

Police released Jeter on a court summons, he said.

Also yesterday, Elmwood Park police charged 28-year-old David Moll of Mahwah and Sean Sevasta, 27, of Suffern with possession of 10 hypodermic syringes after Officer Eliseo Medrano saw them acting suspiciously in the parking of the Walgreens on Broadway, Foligno said.

They, too, were released on summonses, he said.
