SiriusXM Radio alerted police ysterday that it was tracking the car, Deputy Chief Martin Kahn told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Lt. Mark Citakian, Det. Sgt. Michael Martic and Officer Rebecca Corvino stopped the car at 70th Street and Bergenline Avene moments later and arrested Bassim Fardos without incident, he said.

In the back seat was the girl.

Fardos was charged with receiving stolen property and child endangerment. He remained held on $285,000 bail.

State child welfare authorities were notified.

Fardos spent nearly two years in federal custody after admitting that he unknowingly chuffeured a drug dealer to what was supposed to be a 4-kilo buy in Fairview in 2012.

He was released in June, federal records show.

At the time, Fardos was under supervision for a conviction in New York State for selling counterfeit clothing.
