Under the direction of Detective Sgt Kevin Hebert, patrol officers, investigators, members of the Patrol Services Unit and a K-9 team “conducted surveillances, motor vehicle stops and follow-up investigations to address a variety of complaints,” the chief said.
Dubbed "Operation Clean Sweep," the 10-day initiative concluded Saturday morning, producing the dozens of arrests, 120 criminal complaints and ahost of tips that Batelli saidhe expects will produce charges against more offenders.
Four involved drug sales, another possession of a handgun and others outstanding warrants, he said.
Those assigned to the detail included Detectives Michael Grassi and Eric Larsen, Officers Tyler Boucher, Matthew Buonocore, Chris Fasulo, Timothy Letavish, Luke Rice and John Rodriguez, as K-9 Remco and his handler, Officer Robert Rapp.
“The directed response of these officers over a period of ten nights demonstrates the commitment the agency has to ensure the safety of our residents,” the chief said.
