MAHWAH, N.J. -- A former co-owner of a Mahwah delicatessen tried stabbing his former business partner with a large knife during a dispute, causing a minor injury, Police Chief James Batelli told Daily Voice.
Francesco Accurso, 48, "flipped over table, began smashing items" and threatened to "cut [the victim's] stomach open" with a bakery knife he snatched from a table after both began arguing over items he'd gone to Mary Ann’s Deli to retrieve on Oct. 9, Batelli said.
The victim sustained a "cut/puncture wound" on the left side of his stomach but refused immediate medical attention, the chief said.
Accurso posted $50,000 bail and was released on charges of aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and two weapons possession offenses.
