Mahwah cook charged in sex assault on 10-year-old girl

CLIFFVIEW PILOT HAS IT FIRST: A 27-year-old cook at a Mahwah diner is charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in her home.

Bail for Hilario Nazario was set at $350,000 on charges of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

Mahwah police called in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office after receiving the initial report, and an investigation led to Nazario’s arrest Thursday, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Nazario, who is single, has an initial appearance set for Tuesday in Mahwah Municipal Court. He remains held in the Bergen County Jail.
