The knife being carred by Connor, 27, “was first observed on an x-ray machine monitor by a TSA Officer,” Philadelphia police said in a statement.

Philadelphia police were summoned and took Connor into custody.

Connor, a Philly native who lives in Charlotte, is charged with illegal weapons possession. He ws released without bail pending a hearing.

Connor entered the NFL as a third-round pick out of Penn State. He played his first four seasons with the Panthers before a single go-round with the Cowboys last year.

He signed with the Giants this year with hopes of replacing Super Bowl hero Chase Blackburn at middle linebacker in a similar 4-3 defense to what he played in Caroline (Dallas employs a 3-4).

Insiders, however, have said that the off-season favorite in the middle is Mark Hertzlig.
