A virus different from swine flu reportedly sickened seven students of Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, closing the school until at least Monday.

School officials had to relocate the D.A.R.E. program’s “Idol” show to the John Y. Dater Elementary School at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow.

The boys affected apparently were diagnosed with a virus usually found in birds and mammals but not connected to swine flu, local officials said.

Administrators posted a brief notice on the school’s website.
