False 911 calls, scuffle with police land Ramsey man in jail

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Ramsey police had already warned Joseph Leodori to stop calling headquarters claiming he was assaulted at Brady’s at the Station when they got another 911 call from the house — this time from his father. His son had pulled a knife, he said.

Leodori fought with police, who were able to restrain him and get him to Bergen Regional Medical Center for an evaluation just after 3 a.m. Sunday, Chief Bryan Gurney told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

Leodori was cleared soon after and taken to the Bergen County Jail, where he was being held on $75,000 bail.

Charges include aggravated assault on police, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and making false 911 calls.
