Car carrier slams into Route 17 median in Ramsey

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A car carrier slammed into the northbound Route 17 median in Ramsey this afternoon, temporarily jamming traffic in both directions.

Concrete from the median spilled into the oncoming lane, creating problems on both sides of the highway following the 12:30 p.m. crash.

The state Department of Transportation brought in a front loader to clear the debris, and the car carrier — loaded with vehicles — was towed.
