55-year-old man accused of having online sex play with 14-year-old boy

He was doing things online with a 14-year-old boy that a 55-year-old man shouldn’t, but schools officials found out and called Ramsey police, authorities said. Now, William J. Munster faces sexual abuse and endangerment charges.

Munster, of South Central Avenue, was arrested earlier this week by detectives from Ramsey and Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli’s office.

Without going into details, Molinelli said Munster is accused of “engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct” with the boy, whom he apparently met on MySpace.

A school employee found out and notified Ramsey detectives, who called Molinelli’s investigators.

Munster, who is single and self-employed, is free on $50,000 bail, pending a May 24 initial appearance in Ramsey Municipal Court.
