Dorothy Streaser Montero, 90, Of Mahwah

MAHWAH, N.J. – Dorothy Streaser Montero, a resident of Mahwah, died Wednesday, April 13. She was 90.

She was born in Morningside Heights, N.Y. and lived in Fort Lee and Palisades Park before moving to Mahwah to be closer to family. In her earlier years, she was a bookkeeper in the banking industry, followed by working for years at the Savarin plant in New Jersey. After moving to Norfolk Village in Mahwah, she became a member of the Mahwah Senior Citizen Center and Senior Club.

She is survived by her three nieces, Lorraine Woehrle, Carol Streaser, Peggy MacFarlane; a nephew Terrence Streaser and his wife Susan; Nancy Streaser; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers John Murphy and Walter Streaser; sister-in-law Margaret Streaser; a sister Florence Hall; brother-in-law Robert Hall; and a nephew Brian Streaser.

Receiving of family and friends will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the memorial service at noon at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Inernment will follow at Maryrest Mausoleum in Mahwah.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Mahwah Senior Citizens Center and Senior Club, 475 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
