SBA Opens Disaster Loan Center In Bergen County

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- The U.S. Small Business Administration opened another Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) at the Office of Emergency Management in Mahwah recently.

The Center will provide one-on-one assistance to businesses, nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters seeking disaster assistance for losses caused by Hurricane Sandy. 

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. Businesses and individuals may also obtain information and loan applications by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing), or by emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

Completed applications should be returned to the centers or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155 The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Dec. 1, 2016. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Dec. 1, 2016.

The new outreach center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

The Office of Emergency Management is located at 285 Campgaw Road in Mahwah.
