Ramsey Officials Hire Architect To Design Senior Center, Pool Parking

RAMSEY, N.J. -- Blueline Architecture of Wyckoff has been awarded a $10,000 contract by the Borough Council to design a new bathhouse, senior center and additional parking at the pool complex, according to NorthJersey.com.

The Ramsey Municipal pool will receive 120 new parking spots to help with the overflow of residents who flock to the pool each summer.

The work includes turning the bathhouse into a senior and community center by replacing the roof, windows and landscaping. A new bathhouse will be built alongside the center. The borough will present designs of the complex for public review next month. Construction is still at least a year away, said NorthJersey.com.

The council also addressed the need for additional parking at the pool, with the addition of 120 parking spaces because patrons parked on side streets and the grass last summer. The parking spaces should be complete before the summer season, added North Jersey.com.
