The event, organized by the Ramsey Environmental Commission, brought together volunteers to discard of trash and other garbage throughout the neighborhood, community parks and recreation areas, as well as along the main roadways.
“My team and I look forward to the clean-up each year,” said Benedetto. “We take pride in the communities in which we live and serve and are honored to help provide clean, safe areas for our friends and neighbors to enjoy.”
The mission of the Ramsey Environmental Commission is to maintain the environmental and ecological stability of the borough.
It addresses environmental concerns and issues and enhances decision-making by local government by ensuring that environmental policies are integrated into all plans and projects.
The commission also supports educating the public and local government regarding environmental issues and pertinent regulations, and encourages maintenance and conservation of open space and wetlands in the borough.
